the Institute of Korean Temple Food, the temple food education center, is the first specialized educational institution for temple food, operated by Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism.

Participants can learn about the natural food of the four seasons by combining theory and practice in three levels: elementary, intermediate, and advanced. The first education room is about 330㎡ in size and has a capacity of thirty people. The second education room is useful for training smaller group of people.
The facility is equipped with an interior design utilizing the traditional wooden temple structure as well as an optimal education system for temple food education facility in all of Korea with the real-time video broadcasting system for the instructor’s cooking demonstration footages. Also, the lectures consist of Korean’s most prestigious and renown monks who are experts in temple food.

First Education Room
Holds stage-by-stage lectures by temple food specialist monk/ relay real-time broadcasting of the lecturer monk’s cooking demonstration.
Practice sessions in teams of four.

Holds demonstration-focused temple food training sessions for small groups.

Jongno and Gwanghwamun areas on weekends, so we recommend using public transportation.
